Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 1 April 2026
1. Our commitment
Carevista Pty Ltd ("Carevista") is committed to ensuring that carevista.com.au is accessible to all people, including people with disability, older Australians, and those using assistive technologies.
We recognise our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) (DDA), which prohibits discrimination against people with disability in the provision of goods and services, including online services. Web accessibility is part of our commitment to non-discrimination and equal access.
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard referenced in Australian Government accessibility policy and is widely accepted as the benchmark for web accessibility in Australia.
2. Current accessibility status
We are working towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. Steps taken to date include:
- Responsive design built with Tailwind CSS, supporting zoom and reflow across screen sizes
- HTTPS delivery of all pages and assets
- Structured use of heading levels (H1, H2) to organise page content
We have not yet conducted a formal WCAG 2.1 AA audit, and we have not formally tested the Website with assistive technologies such as screen readers. We acknowledge that the Website may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.
3. Known limitations
The following known accessibility limitations exist on the Website:
- Interactive map — the provider map view uses the Google Maps JavaScript API. Keyboard navigation and screen reader support within the map is limited by the capabilities of the Google Maps platform. Users who cannot use the map can switch to the list view to access all provider information.
- PDF or document downloads — where external government documents are linked (e.g. ACQSC reports), we do not control the accessibility of those documents.
4. Alternative access
If you are unable to access any content or functionality on this Website due to a disability or accessibility barrier, please contact us and we will endeavour to provide the information you need in an alternative format or through an alternative means.
You can also access official provider information directly through:
- My Aged Care — myagedcare.gov.au or phone 1800 200 422 (Monday to Friday, 8am–8pm; Saturday, 10am–2pm)
- ACQSC Provider Register — agedcarequality.gov.au/providers
5. Feedback and complaints
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of this Website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know so we can work to resolve it.
Contact us at: hello@carevista.com.au
Please include a description of the accessibility barrier you encountered, the URL of the page, the assistive technology or browser you were using, and your contact details if you would like a response. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 10 business days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC), which handles complaints under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992. Contact the AHRC at humanrights.gov.au or 1300 656 419.
